Background
Bixby is an intelligent, personalized voice interface for your phone. It lets you seamlessly switch between voice and touch modes.
Just speak using natural language and Bixby will execute your command.
My Role
1. Concept generation of intelligence for various third-party apps.
2. Design the iterations of the voice assistant and chat interface for Bixby on these third party apps.
3. Collaborate with HQ (South Korea), SRA (USA) and Bangalore teams.
4. Water-proof Bixby Concepts and iterations and give better solutions for interactions and concepts
(involved quick prototyping and making of high fidelity screens for better presentation).
5. Usability Testing of Bixby, recording issues and follow ups.
6. Conceptualize the future possibilities for Bixby.
A new way to interact with our devices. Bixby knows your apps and how to use them. Plus, you can talk, tap or type, because Bixby understands it all.
Challenges
While working on Bixby was extremely fun and fascinating, there were lots of challenges that came our way.
Designing for voice based and sometimes even eyes-free scenarios, visualising and concepualizing gets tougher.
Without any prior experienceof designing for suchscenarios wored both as a boon and a bane.
